When enough can-do Americans

How do we harness enough of our best assets to make a
difference?
The Citizen-initiated World Service Corps Proposed Congressional
Legislation is our best and most
cost-efficient answer. Coupling simple
and nationally beneficial financial incentives with Americans’ patriotism and
can-do spirit, the WSC will encourage a million volunteering Americans to serve
in domestic and international fields of need each year.
SEC. 3. SENSE 0F CONGRESS REGARDING
EXECUTIVE AGREEMENTS TO ESTABLISH UNITED STATES WORLD SERVICE CORPS.
It is the sense of the Congress that the
President should enter into agreements
with the appropriate
representatives of the public and private organizations proposed to be involved
in carrying out World Service Corps work.
The
President is requested
to negotiate
with the participating Directors of the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Head Start,
Habitat for Humanity, Doctors Sans Borders, Red Cross, International Rescue
Committee, State Conservation Crops, and
others of similar efficiency to provide for the mutual
establishment, organization, administration, and management of the programs
necessary to BRING the number of American WSC s VOLS serving in these
organizations to one million annually by 2010.

more, sign the on-line Petition, and help enact this bi-partisan grassroots proposal
into law. Tell all of your elected reps
how important the WSC is to our future. Cost effectively investing in our best
resources now reduces future costs and enhances our security. Fixing the dike now is cheaper than later.
