RE: Proposed World Service
Corps Bill/Resolution
Dear Senator Hatch:
I
have long respected the friendly jousting in which you and Senator Kennedy used
to engage. On the enclosed World Service
Corps proposal, I hope your past relationship will allow both of you to be
co-sponsors.
As
a man who early learned the value of hard work, receives numerous accolades for
efficient use of tax dollars, and is the ranking Republican on the Senate
Intelligence Committee; I trust you will recognize how the work of WSC members
would quickly and dramatically reduce our costly military expenditures, as well
as increase our understanding of the world and thereby reduce our nation’s
likelihood of accepting faulty intelligence.
The
WSC’s public-non-government organizations joint venture is our most cost
effective means to stem the growth of terrorism and win today’s long-term
terror war. A WSC peacefully presents
our best weapons – all Americans – to defeat fundamental ignorance and the
terror it breeds.
